Rémi Sermier advises DP World on the Banana port project (DRC)

Rémi Sermier (Pamina Avocats) advises DP World, one of the leading global port operators, on the negotiation with the Congolese authorities of an amendment to the concession contract for the deep sea port at Banana.

The signing between DP World and the Democratic Republic of Congo of a term sheet fixing the amendments to the contract, awarded in 2018 for a 30 year duration, has just been announced.

The amendment opens the way to the construction of the first deep sea port of the Democratic Republic of Congo, on its Atlantic coast, thus facilitating trade for the country and its entire region. Construction is planned to take two years.

The Democratic Republic of Congo is advised by Stanislas Lequette (HFW).
